The Teacher in the Contemporary Education: Out of the Classroom.

Teachers have always played a major role in the education system yet in the modern world, they have been given a wider responsibility that transcends far beyond teaching. Most individuals believe that the only thing that teachers do is to explain, give homework, and mark examinations. As a matter of fact, however, teachers are mentors, motivators, role models and guides who mold the future of learners, to a much deeper level than academic.
Learning in modern times is not only memorization of facts. It involves acquiring skills like critical thinking, creativity, communications and problem solving. Educators are instrumental in training students to develop the skills. They are not merely the sources of answers but they make the learners ask questions, investigate ideas and think on their own.
Teachers can do many things and one of their most effective contributions is creating confidence in students. Most students do not learn because of their incapacity, but because they do not have belief in themselves. A well-meaning teacher can help change the thinking of a student by encouraging him/ her, rewarding hard work and ensuring a safe atmosphere where errors are regarded as a part of the learning process.
There is also structure given by teachers. In a busy world, classrooms are among the few areas that are specifically created to allow specialization in development. Teachers use lesson plans to take students through stages of learning in order to achieve a progressive learning process as opposed to a chaotic learning process. This systematic style aids students to be organized and lessening anxiety.
One more significant teacher role is being familiar with individual differences. Every learner is unique. There are students who are visual, some are discussion based and others are practice based learners. Teachers who are great know these differences and modify their teaching approaches in ways that address such differences. It is this individual attention that can make struggling students succeed.
Discipline and responsibility are also the thing that teachers play an important role in formulating. Students are taught some life skills which go beyond school through deadlines, classroom involvement, collaboration, and feedback. Education is not just about such subjects like science or history, it is also learning how to organize time, work together and be devoted.
Nowadays, in the digital world, educators have also been facilitators of learning via technology. There is unlimited information online to the students but information does not equate to education. The teachers assist learners in becoming digitally literate, critical evaluators of sources, and utilizing technology as an instrument of development and not a form of distraction.
In addition to academics, teachers also impact on social and emotional development. They assist students to know how to respect, empathize, and communicate. In many cases, teachers are the earliest adults besides the family who detect the plight of a student and offer direction.
Dreams are also instilled by teachers. Most of the professionals attribute their success to a teacher that believed in them or presented them with a subject that transformed their life. One teacher can shape the decisions of young people, their interests, and life.
Teachers play a significant role in the contemporary society than any other time. They do not teach only, but create new generations. They have much greater influence than just in the classroom, and learners are developed into competent, confident, and intelligent individuals.
The education system can change, technology can get improved, yet teachers can stay in the center of the meaningful learning process.
